What kind of repairs can you do mobile?

A lot more than most people expect. We handle everything from oil changes and brake jobs to cooling system repairs, suspension work, electrical problems, check engine lights, no-starts, A/C work, and much more. If you're not sure if we can do your repair mobile, just ask. Send us your year, make, model, and what's going on with the vehicle.

Do you do diagnostics?

Absolutely. Diagnostics are actually a big part of what we do. If you have a check engine light, no-start, overheating problem, electrical issue, strange noise, rough idle, loss of power, or something else you can't quite figure out, we can come out and test it. And no — diagnosing a vehicle isn't just plugging in a scanner and reading a code. We use the information from the vehicle along with hands-on testing to figure out what's actually causing the problem.

Can you fix the car the same day you diagnose it?

Sometimes! If we identify the problem and the parts are available locally, we may be able to take care of the repair during the same visit. Other repairs may need to be scheduled for another appointment, especially if we need to order parts or the repair requires more time.

Do I need to know what's wrong with my car before calling?

Not at all. That's what diagnostics are for. Tell us what the car is doing, when it happens, and anything you've noticed. We'll take it from there. If you already know exactly what repair you need, we can usually prepare an estimate before the appointment.

Do you provide the parts?

Yes. We can source the parts needed for your repair and include everything in your estimate. If you already purchased your own parts, let us know when requesting your estimate. We do install customer-supplied parts for many repairs, but warranty coverage is different when you provide the parts yourself.

Do your repairs come with a warranty?

Yes. Qualifying repairs using parts supplied by JQ Mobile Auto Service come with a 90-day/1,000-mile limited warranty, whichever comes first. Customer-supplied parts are not covered by our parts warranty.

Where can you work on my car?

Usually anywhere we have enough safe space to work. That could be your driveway, workplace, parking lot, apartment complex, or another location where vehicle repairs are allowed. If you're in an apartment, condo, HOA, or managed parking lot, it's always a good idea to make sure they allow mobile mechanics before your appointment.

Do I have to be there while you're working?

For many repairs, no. As long as we can access the vehicle and keys when needed, you can keep working, stay inside, or go about your day. We'll contact you if we find something that needs your approval before moving forward.

What areas do you service?

We primarily provide mobile auto repair throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties. If you're outside our normal service area, reach out anyway. Depending on the location and the job, we may still be able to come to you.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

When the schedule allows, yes. Same-day availability depends on where you are, what the vehicle needs, and what our schedule looks like that day. The earlier you contact us, the better chance we have of fitting you in.

What happens if it rains?

Welcome to South Florida 😂. A little rain doesn't automatically cancel an appointment, but heavy rain, lightning, flooding, or conditions that make the repair unsafe can delay things. If you have a garage or covered area where we can safely work, even better

Can you work on my car if it's broken down on the side of the road?

Sometimes, depending on where the vehicle is. If it's somewhere we can safely work without putting you, our technician, or other drivers at risk, we may be able to help. If the location isn't safe, we'll recommend moving or towing the vehicle somewhere we can properly work on it.

Do you work on European cars?

Yes. We work on most domestic, Asian, and European vehicles. Some vehicles require specialized tools, software, programming, or equipment for certain repairs. Send us your vehicle information and we'll let you know if it's something we can handle mobile.

Do you work on commercial vehicles or fleets?

Yes. We work with businesses that would rather have their vehicles serviced where they're parked instead of losing time sending them back and forth to a repair shop. We can help with maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and ongoing fleet service.

Can I get an estimate before making an appointment?

If you already know what repair you need, absolutely. Send us your Year • Make • Model • Engine • Location • Service Needed. If you don't know what's wrong yet, we'll most likely recommend starting with a diagnostic appointment instead of guessing which repair you need.

Why do you charge for diagnostics?

Because we're diagnosing the problem — not guessing which part to replace. Modern vehicles can have several different failures that cause the exact same symptom or trouble code. Proper testing helps us identify the actual problem before you spend money replacing parts you may not need. For qualifying repairs with more than $300 in labor, your diagnostic fee may be credited toward the repair.

How do I book an appointment?

You can request an appointment online or contact us directly. We'll ask for some basic information about your vehicle, what's going on with it, and where it's located. Once we have what we need, we'll get you an estimate or schedule a diagnostic. You pick the place. We bring the shop.
